Since you're reading this blog, you probably already know that we sell health products. Specifically, hemp, CBD, and a variety of herbal extracts.
Some people have asked whether I use the products myself or if it is simply a business for me. I obviously can't take everything that we sell, but yes, I do take some of the products and can testify to their effectiveness.
I consider myself a relatively healthy person. I try to stay active, get exercise, limit my junk food, etc. I have had a few health issues along the way. so perhaps that makes me more conscientious about my health than some people.
About six months ago, I decided to try the CBD oil to see if it would help me sleep better since I struggle to get a good night's sleep in recent years. I started out taking a very small dose of 3 mg just before I went to bed, but it didn't seem to work. In fact, it stimulated me and kept me awake, so I stopped taking it. I was advised to increase my dose, and while that didn't make sense to me, I eventually did try an 8 mg dose and almost immediately started experiencing deep, dream-filled sleep. I had been struggling to get five or six hours of sleep per night while waking up several times and then not being able to go back to sleep. At first, I experienced a deeper, more restful sleep, but still only about six hours. However, as I've continued taking it for several months, I typically get about eight hours of uninterrupted sleep now. A good night's rest makes an amazing difference in your life, and I hadn't experienced if for about ten years!
In addition to improving my sleep, I have experienced a few surprise benefits from CDB that weren't even on my radar when I started. I have had near-constant hip pain for the last ten years. About five years ago, I lost my gallbladder and have had severe stomach and eating issues since then. After taking CBD for a couple months, those two problems amazingly started getting better. Now they haven't disappeared completely, but they are much better than I've enjoyed for a long time. I theorize that the improvement is because CBD is effective for inflammation. Of course, my experience with this is anecdotal, but it has changed me from a businessman selling CBD because of the business opportunity to an enthusiastic ambassador for it. Why wouldn't it have that effect when it has greatly improved my quality of life in recent months?
In addition to the benefits I've experienced from taking CBD, many people take it for various other benefits. Some people put a low dose in their morning coffee for an extra boost. Others experience relief from various pain-related issues, anxiety, arthritis, seizures, and much more.
While CBD is getting all the attention right now, the herbal tinctures that we sell are also great products. I've tried several of them myself, and a dose of the Men's Energy in the morning gives me a boost and makes me more productive throughout the day. The Herbal Throat Spray is just awesome for dry, itchy throats, especially right now with all the pollen in the air. We have several elderberry products which people take to boost their immune systems. The one I was personally taking over the winter was called Ech-N-Elder, a mixture of echinacea and elderberry. Olive leaf is another one that's very popular.
I firmly believe that these products can improve your health. I do not believe, as some people might, that they replace professional medical care. When I have health issues, I unhesitatingly go to the doctor or hospital as needed, but there is no question that these herbal products can improve health and reduce doctor visits.
Let me make a few comments about CBD. I can't emphasize enough that if you take CBD, be sure you are taking a quality product! There are sketchy and outright fake oils coming from overseas. Make sure what you're using is grown and processed in the U.S. and make sure it says "Yoder Naturals" on the bottle! :-)
I get a lot of questions about dosages, but I hate to make recommendations because the effective dosages can vary for different people. You should be willing to experiment with the dosage amounts to treat your symptoms. As a general rule of thumb, I hear that if you're taking CBD for some stimulation and energy, take a low dosage in the morning. If you're looking to improve your sleep, take a medium dosage of 8 to 10 mg. If you're trying to treat pain, then you'll probably go to a higher dosage such as the super strength.
Also, please be aware that I'm not a doctor. I'm more than happy to hear about your health issues, but as a person who sells health products, I'm neither qualified nor am I permitted to make diagnoses or recommend what products to use for treatment of specific conditions. If you're interested in improving your health, I recommend you do some research on your own. The great thing nowadays is that the information of the entire world is at your fingertips via the Internet, so all it takes is a little bit of research.
That's all for today folks,
